Just what we need another lame live action remake of a Disney classic. I don't care what people say Jungle Book was not good.

Same here.

Lion King was my main obsession for years. I am not happy to hear about this remake but what can I do?

Even with Jon Favreau directing and James Earl Jones returning as Mufasa?

If they can recast him, why can't they recast everyone else? Johnathan Taylor Thomas and Niketa Calame who did Simba and Nala as cubs are grown up now, but why couldn't they bring them back and have them do the voices of those characters as adults? Sarabi's original voice actress died from leukemia not long after the premiere of the first Lion King movie, so naturally they'd have to replace her, and Mathew Brodrick refuses to do anything associated with Disney anymore. But that wouldn't be a problem if they brought Johnanthan Taylor Thomas to do him as an adult.
