Which is better, the Sharknado series or Independence Day?

Which film is better, the Sharknado series or Independence Day (the first film, not the sequel), and why? I'd love to hear your reasons.

My vote goes to Independence Day. I think it has more substance and is more captivating than the Sharknado series, but don't get me wrong, the Sharknado series is pretty funny, but Independence Day is more enthralling.

They're hilarious! Lots of fun. Independence Day was kind of meh for me.
