As of yesterday, it is official.
Paramount Vantage, the studio behind director Marc Forster's $20 million adaptation of "The Kite Runner", has delayed the release of the movie six weeks from November 2nd to December 14th out of concern for three child performers in the movie.

What do you think?

I think that it is sad there is so much prejudice and inhumanity in Afghanistan that the lives of these people would be endangered over a film. I'm glad the film company is taking this action and that these people will have the chance of a better life.

The three child performers will be relocated to the United States, England, Morocco, or the United Arab Emirates until March, when the new school year in Afghanistan begins, so unfortunately this will be temporary until the release comes & goes.

They will have a tutor with them.

The performer who portrays Hassan is an actual Hazara and most of his fellow tribe members believe he is making the Hazaras look bad, if you can believe that.
