Am I the only one who thinks the voices in live action movies sound very similar? What I mean is, it seems like everyone has a similar monotone voice, especially during quiet moments when the characters are just talking. I understand that with live action it’s suppose to be somewhat realistic, but the thing is in real life people are a lot more expressive with their voice than in these movies and it annoys me to no end.The live action movies that have more expression tend to be comedies. TV shows that are live action also tend not to be as generic.
This is why I prefer animation. Not only is it more expressive but I can actually distinguish between characters. If I overhear a live action movie I can tell whether a man, woman, or child is talking, but that’s the extent to it. If I overhear an animated movie or show, I can not only distinguish between gender and age, but also different characters within the same category. Sure animation is not ‘realistic’ but I find it much more engaging than the (insert generic voice here).
