I just started watching this on netflix. It's about a girl who turns twelve, and still prefers to play with her toys and do the same things she did as a little girl. Her mother is concerned that she doesn't want to grow up and just spends most of her time in her bedroom "in her own little world". I can't help but wonder if the creators based her on a girl they knew with Asperger's.
