Because of the release date being this December, a first trailer could be released this summer,
likely July at the earliest.

I loved the Lynch movie (as did Frank Herbert), and I will certainly see this one.

I've never read the book, but have watched David Lynch's film.

The special effects have aged so badly that it gives Lynch's film a campy vibe to it.

However, I did recently happen upon Lynch's film on a free streaming app so I might watch it again
to determine if my opinion changes.

Also if you haven't done so already, do watch Jodowrosky's Dune which is a documentary about cult director Alejandro Jodowrosky who tried to make Dune into a movie about ten years before the release of Lynch's film.

Good movie. An ok book but too thick, not in a good The Stand kind of way. One of a few instances I'd say the movie is better. Looking forward to the remake.

I will be in line when it opens this December.
