I'm wondering, is there anyone here who likes The Twilight Zone? I mean the original 60s version. I haven't seen much of the current one, but so far, based on the little I have seen, I haven't liked it quite as much.

But the original version is probably one of my all-time favorite TV shows! There are just so many amazing episodes that really make you think and wonder. :)

I liked the series quite a bit while I was growing up.

The episode that I liked the most was about a man who was accidentally locked in a bank vault when the world ended [everyone died except for him]. He was an introvert and loved to read. So when the vault doors opened and he left the bank, he visited the library. He thought it wasn't really all that bad. He had all the time in the world to read every book every written. But then his glasses fell off and broke.

I love it, I love old sci-fi like the original Star Trek, where the plots were always like "what if there was a whole society that was like this or a device that did this, what if robots had rights, etc" and then there are philosophical/moral implications and twists to give you an existential crisis. I feel like that's what sci-fi should be, not just pewpew lasers in space.

Ah yes, Time Enough at Last! Most fans would consider that episode to be one of the classics. :) The Twilight Zone was definitely known for its "twist endings," and I would say that one is one of the best of the series.

I have seen every episode at least once, some of them countless times! There are so many good ones, so it's really hard to choose favorites, but some of mine include The Obsolete Man, Kick The Can, Number 12 Looks Just like You, One for the Angels, The Night of the Meek, Eye of the Beholder, and Walking Distance.

My number one favorite though without a doubt is A Stop at Willoughby. I never get tired of watching that one!

Somewhere in a lonely hotel room
There's a guy starting to realize
That his eternal fate has turned its back on him.

It's two A.M.

...

Just as a side note, the lyrics and video to Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" were based on the book "The Bourne Identity", and not on Rod Serling's "Twilight Zone" TV series.

I love the old Twilight Zone. I have integrated many of the episodes into Parables to Reference in Real Life. There was a knock off show in...the early 90s? Called Tales From the Darkside that I also liked. I have not seen the new version, but I’m a Jordan Peale fan so I have been curious.

I absolutely love the old time Twilight Zone. Come New Years, my wife and our daughter watch the TZ marathon on the Scyfy channel with me. It's become a family tradition.

I love TZ. I grew up watching it when it came on late at night.

I'm awful at remembering the episode names but Time Enough At Last remains a classic. It's a bit sappy but I'm a big sap so I love the Christmas episode.

My favorite might be The Shelter though. It was *agonizing* to watch and I loved it. It packs a hell of a punch today--I can only imagine how hard that episode must have hit during the height of the Cold War.
