Many young child actors and actresses find it difficult to transition into the world of adult actors and many fall by the wayside.

Such was the case of Emma Watson. Remember the girl who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter Films.

Many of the films she played in as an adult [in my personal opinion] were bombs. So I just finished watching a film called "The Circle" in which Emma starred. And I was surprised that it actually was a good film.

First off, the film "The Circle" is not about a circle of witches. It has nothing to do with the occult. It is actually about a high tech company called "the Circle". You can substitute names like Google, Facebook, Apple or Twitter. The movie is more akin to the "1984" than a run-of-the-mill Sci-Fi flick. In the film Emma plays Mae Holland, a young woman who lands a dream job with the world's most powerful technology and social media company "the Circle", only to uncover a nefarious agenda that will affect the lives of all of humanity. The film is a cautionary tale of present reality.

Sounds interesting. Perhaps the film is disclosure, probably commenting on what companies such as Apple, Google and Facebook get up to behind the scenes.

As well as other companies such as Cambridge Analytica (started by Trumps ex-chief political strategist Steve Bannon).

One of the interesting characters in the movie is Mercer. He is a friend (maybe past boyfriend) of Mae Holland. He reminds me of an Aspie. He has feelings for Mae but after high school he has closed the world tight around him. Mae’s mother shows Mae a picture of a chandelier Mercer made from deer antlers. Mae photographs it and uploads and shares it on her Circle profile. The image attracts significant negative attention to Mercer, with people accusing him of killing the deer. He receives death threats. He tries to explain to Mae that he never killed a deer in his life and now his whole life is being turned upside down. This is because the photograph of the chandelier was shared with millions of people on the Circle and they automatically made a snap judgement and condemned him - the woke generation.

In the end, the leaders of the Circle, decide to run an experiment and find Mercer (who doesn't want to be found and just wants to be left along). This results in a cadre of gawkers tracking him down and he flees as drones and people in trucks and motorcycles chase after him which results in the loss of his life.

It is very much about the corrosive attitude of the woke generation.
