Adult Swim is under Warner Bros. after they acquired Cartoon Network. Specifically, Warner Bros. Discovery U.S. Networks Group.
It does feel like that, but in this day and age, it's the way of the world.
We have come full circle. When Film studios were first formed, they were huge monopolies that were then competing with TV and Independent studios that began to form, following the decline of The Hays Code.
Now, such "Indie" companies are being acquired by the larger bigger studios again, due to collective financial difficulties of recent, thus completing this cycle.
Whether history repeats itself or not has yet to be seen.
