King of the Hill is some of my all-time favorite shows. But NGL I have a bad feeling deep inside the reboot will be a commentary on modern issues like some animated sitcoms. Also I am very sentimental towards Dale's old voice. Maybe the new actor will do a fine job but idk.

IF the writers ever hook up Bobby and Connie again then maybe I will be more optimistic towards this new season. Connie is few of my favorite characters that I think the show did dirty to her. I hope she gets more character development as an adult.

It'll be interesting to see Dale discovering the affair between Nancy and Redcorn. Also something that I don't see brought up as often is Cotton's son GH. Some fans speculated Didi put him up for adoption. I would like to see an episode on him where he finds out about his birth parents.

My title is kinda clickbait since I am a bit excited lol. At the same time I think it's better off this season gets scrapped. What do you guys think?

Personally I hope they go with the idea that Dale knew all along and used this info to be a better father to Joseph than Redcorn ever could.

I’m just going to wait until I see the KOTH reboot, before I judge it.

In my experience things get worse as time goes by, but I'll certainly give it a fair chance. The originals made me laugh a lot.

Looks like nobody knows when it's going to be out.

Yes, occasionally, they get reboots and continuations after a hiatus. But, I think the biggest issue tends to be that shows tend to be a product of their time to a large extent with a specific set of writers and show producers, having to start from scratch at a different point in time tends to lead to issues. I think the shows I can think of that have managed it the best tend to be pretty niche and set in places that have no relationship with the real world.

In this case, I wouldn't be optimistic, but I wasn't ever personally that much of a fan. I'm personally more of a butane man myself.

I hope that he hasn't sold out. I'm talking about Mr. Judge, by the way.

I doubt it, I think the bigger concern would be trying to work out how to make it work in the current environment. To know if he's likely to sell out, I'd look at the more recent Beavis and Butthead seasons from their reboot.

That being said, I could totally see him agreeing to reboot the series just to absolutely skewer some of the current dumb dumbs.

I'm looking forward to it, but also prepared for the possibility that it'll be disappointing.

That said, new Beavis and Butthead has mostly been pretty good.

I need to finish watching those, but the few episodes I've seen felt like what I'd expect out of the series, so there's a decent chance that KotH will be something the fans will like. Personally, I just can't forgive Hank over his preference for propane over butane. That kind of thing is just not cool.

There's new Beavis and Butthead? I had no idea we were living in such a wonderful world. 8O

This is the first I've heard about a King Of The Hill reboot.

Family Guy & Futurama were cancled a few times & have remained true to their originals though I haven't seen the latest Futurama reboot that came out a couple years ago.

Hulu Futurama is considered not as good as the Fox run.

Family Guy has become more mean spirited with each season since season 9.

IIRC, Seth is on record as thinking that Family Guy should have been canceled quite awhile ago, and the clips I've seen really hammer home that the show shouldn't have been rebooted that last time. I think the comments I saw were from a few seasons after the most recent reboot.

Modern Futurama is OK, but I think the big issue they have with the most recent reincarnation is too many gimmick episodes. The Comedy Central seasons were far too focused on social commentary whereas the Fox ones were mostly just focused on the characters and what happens with the whole fish out of water scenario. Which did have a bit of a limit on how far they could go with that, but I think it was funnier.
