I do not recall if I saw this originally, but it is something I keep meaning to buy to watch, but as I cannot recall, I am not sure I will like it or not.

I know it is Lynch and know it is supposed to be very strange... And I had the book when I was young, but can someone tell me, what exactly is it like and is it worth getting?

I haven't seen the series on DVD or cable lately.

It was a quirky murder mystery. I think I saw most of it but lost interest towards the end or the series.

The movie "Fire Walk with Me" plays on cable all the time.

Hah I'm currently watching the series myself for the first time. Up to season 2. Yeah it's weird, but you really do get hooked. I love the FBI agent, he's so kooky.

I recorded the whole series on VHS years and years ago. Thanks for reminding me! It would be good to watch it again.

I KNOW the first season is on DVD because I own it. If the second season is out, it must have been recently because I had been waiting and waiting and then gave up on it ever coming out. I have both seasons as divx copies on my computer.

I found it at a video rental place when I was in high school. I remembered watching it on TV as a kid, so I decided to watch them all again. Since then I've been in love with the series and David Lynch.

I liked the first season but didn't understand it when it first aired. Fire Walk With Me is an excellent movie and advocates for abuse victims. The movie is less pretty than the show was but I think the show deteriorated after the first season whereas the movie is perfect in its editing and cohesiveness. I recommend the movie but not sure if I would recommend the show.

Never really got into Lynch. Didn't like Lost Highway, which people say was his best (though some say that about Inland Empire now). Should I give Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me a shot?

I saw the movie, can't say that I know what actually happened though. Someone killed a homeless man that was some kind of shape-shifter or something. Or he killed someone. Or both.

I remember I saw the first few episodes and found it pleasantly mysterious and quirky, but after a while just lost interest in the smalltown people. I wasn't into Lynch at that time, and I didn't "get" smalltown people in a mystery film!! !
Since then have seen "Mulholland Drive",which I think is brilliant, and grown up some. And I love Lynchs work. The hidden and the unconscious and the real and unreal and the dream. I am in awe and gratitude for his vision, hope to see INLAND EMPIRE sometime.
Maybe I'd appreciate Twin Peaks more now. But apparently he too lost interest because the TV chain kept changing things and demanding stuff so Lynch just ended up writing it by rote.
Saw "Blue Velvet" a few months ago for first time since 1986 ish and it was like watching a different film. I think that's why I treasure his stuff so much ( apart from Lost Highway which I found SOOOO boring. ! ! He's not very good at the outside world!! Not without buckets of unconscious stuff thrown all over it anyway!) ; it's alive.

Inland Empire is excellent.
