So there is this new movie out in limited release.
Ryan Gosling plays a mustached socially awkward man named Lars who claims that hugs feel like he is being burned and is freaked out most of the time. Until he meets Bianca. The kicker is that Bianca is not a real person but an inanimate sex toy. Lars thinks Bianca is real but she is not. After a psychiatric session with Dr. Dagmar, the entire town is ordered to go along with Lars and his fake girlfriend.

Which brings this question: Does Lars have Aspergers or something else?

Sounds like he could have AS, but I haven't read anything official that states he does.

i want to see that movie! i've seen the ads for it.

i think it sounds like he's aspie, hfa or autistic in some way.

it will be an interesting movie, that's for sure.

It looks good but I think that it couldn't be purely as based on what i've seen. Maybe as mixed with something else?

Lars is supposed to be an emotionally damaged guy.
