One of my friends was just over and eagerly showed me this trailor:

http://www.transformersmovie.com/main.html

looks like a much different plot premise than the original TV show or movie but who knows, that could just be the arrival of the Decepticons - I'm not sure. Anyway, its coming out July 4th of 2007. Just some food for thought.

I was skeptical about a live action Transformers movie at first, but the theatrical trailer won me over. I watched it a while ago...Ain't It Cool News has been all over this movie. I was never a fan of the original series or toys, but I loooooooved Beast Wars. (I miss Mainframe Entertainment's wonderful CGI shows.)

Saw the theatrical trailer-- totally won me over, as well as my younger brother/fellow aspie. At first I wasn't sure, and then we found out it was for 'Transformers'-- more his thing than mine even though I remember it being a big thing when I was little, and I had a colouring book at one point... But we thought it was awesome.

Caught a preview of the movie while watching Rocky Balboa (which was excellent) and I thought it looked like pure crap, though I'm just being bitter since I later found out Soundwave was cut from the movie

No SOUNDWAVE? wait. Oh him. never mind. if you'd said STARSCREAM, there'd be problems.

Yeah. I'm gonna see it. that and Pirates 3, Spiderman 3, Shrek 3.........yeah.

If I was still 7 years old I'd be excited about this movie. ...but I am interested to know if it's any good or not.

This movie probably gonna stink. No Soundwave and Megatron is not gonna be a gun and he looks stupid.

The only thing I like about Transformers movies is the fact that Stan Bush has a couple songs on the soundtrack. STAN BUSH ROCKS!! !

I was a bit bummed when Michael Bay was annouced as director of this $200M mix of "War of the Worlds" and "Jurassic Park."

Why couldn't Steven Spielberg direct this himself?

because I doubt Steven wants to have somethign like this under his belt.

and not to mention, Steven isn't exactly in the best news light lately.

Of course they wouldn't. Transformers has too much appeal to children. So it'll probably be PG-13, since it's gotta have explosions and gunfire and what not; most parents will take their kids to a PG-13 movie if it has TRANSFORMING ROBOTS ZOMG! Think "Spider-Man."
