I'm a huge fan of American Idol. Message me if any of you watch it or like it.

I watched it and found it to be horrible. I sincerely beleive half the contestents on their are fake, payed so simon can rip them in front of the world, many of the contestents I simply cannot see them going on stage and acting like some of them do.

Indeed, I am weird when it comes to TV, many of the popular shows I dont like cause I am such a sinical critic. Many people do like American Idol, so its obviously an ok show.

I've watched American Idol since season 1. The contestants keep getting more outrageous and I don't care for that part of it as much. I like the actual singing competion.

I liked that guy they had on the other night who was dressed up in the feather costume and sang "We Are Best friends" to Simon.

I like watching the auditions, but after that I don't really care.

i watch it for the preliminary auditions. those're my favorite. cause you see three kinds of people. you see people who can sing, people who can't sing, and f*****g LUNATICS. i remember the season after William Hung came on they had a guy with a ventriloquist dummy and a girl in a giant apple suit who was tap dancing. they need more stuff like that.

I really can't get into these types of shows.

We have its counterpart too. It's simply called "Idol". I must admit that those who won and later had some popularity for some time seem to be rather forgotten now. Or at least they're not told about so much. Their songs are rather shoddy. Ala Janosz who was the first to win in 2002 was for quite a long time "famous" for her hopelessly silly song about scrumbled eggs  All those who were at least a bit more intelligent than a hen used to laugh at it

i'm sure the actual hens didn't find it funny.

but yea, the winners of American Idol have all had varying levels of success. they make it seem like each winner (or runner-up) brings something special to the table but really it's all the same generic over-produced crap. it's like choosing to paint your wall either off-white or eggshell.

Lol, I've just understood what you meant by your mention about hens :D  . Scrumbled eggs...   http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=er7pfhQTFgg <--- It's Janosz' "song" :x I can never find any translation. It's about love - one gal was abandoned by her boyfriend. She woke up, she could hear someone's singing in the neighboring flat and smell scrumbled eggs being prepared to eat
