Since I live in America, I'm going to download the episode sometime after Christmas. I prefer watching Doctor Who this way, as opposed to watching it on SciFi or BBC America with commercials. (And I would watch it on a PBS station, but it's not airing right now on them.)

From what I've heard, it seems that Russel T Davies is starting to channel a bit of Eric Saward.

BTW, here's that series 4 trailer from the end of Voyage of the Damned. This doesn't really spoil things for Voyage, but has sequences from the first, oooh, about 6 episodes of the new series. That's:

*Partners in Crime, involving Donna's return to the TARDIS, an alien invasion, and a sinister businesswoman.

*TUATW, the acronym given for an episode with Agatha Christie (and judging by the 'W', it is the one involving homicidal giant wasps from the trailer). It also involves Fenella Woolgar as Christie and Felicity Kendall as Lady Clemency Eddison.

*The Planet of the Ood, which of course has the return of the Ood, and guest-stars Tim McInnery of Blackadder and Spooks fame (and who can be seen briefly towards the end of the trailer glaring at the Doctor as an Ood walks off in the background).

*An episode filmed in Italy and set in Pompeii just before Vesuvius went up. This was filmed in the sets of Rome.

*A two-parter beginning with The Sontaran Stratagem, with Christopher Ryan (Mike from The Young Ones and Dave Hedgehog from Bottom, as well as Lord Kiv from the Doctor Who: Trial of a Time Lord epic) as a Sontaran commander and Freema Agyeman returning as Martha Jones.

Quatermass, wow thanks a lot for that ....

I know a lot of people aren't too happy about the character of Donna returning but I've only just watched seasons 1 and 2 of the Catherine Tate show and it's funny... the lines she says in Dr Who are very similar to her comedy show - hence even funnier.

Catherine Tate may turn out to be a surprise favourite, if Donna matures during the show (and certainly between Runaway Bride and her next appearance). But she had some insight into the Doctor's nature, and she's probably the oldest companion since, ooh, Romana if you count Time Lords, or one of the UNIT men. I'd say Barbara was the oldest female companion the Doctor had at the time, and Evelyn Smythe from the audio adventures is the oldest human female companion.

BTW, new theme music:

I'd rather see clips than the whole thing, to just whet my appetite.

There's not much chance that I'd watch ANY show on youtube - the quality is awful.

No hope of me watching something I actually care about.

I can wait until broadcast, or if necessary until next November for the DVD Box set.

I like that new theme music, especially the drums.

If you pay attention as the Doctor Who logo comes up, you might hear what sounds like an electric guitar, which then segues into a mild reference to Peter Howell's version of the title music from the '80's.

We watch Dr Who avidly in our house. It's so very, very sad..... My son is VERY into DW, and of course his main Christmas present was the series 3 DVD box set. Now, we're awaiting the 2007 Christmas special! Woo-hoo!
