Hi... I was speaking to a friend who likes to do acting and I asked him what he thought about modern television on our screens.... He didn't like the reality TV shows and thought that drama was being swept aside.... for the lower budget reality crap.

I wonder now, what do you people think of the drama that eventually gets onto our screens? Do you like what you see or do you think that the modern day effects and camera work actually detracts from the story line?

I don't like the fact that money seems to forgive a bad script.... there is no such thing as a bad writer, just a bad script.... and there are a load of bad scripts hitting our televisions at the moment....

any shows you're thinking of?

i mean a lot of them have terrible writing but good plots (even though they're unrealistic) and they just draw you in

Crappy reality shows? Erm, Model Behaviour (WHAT ON EARTH!), Big Brother, Wife Swap, anything like that...

Drama.... erm... To make this international... I am thinking hospital drama's - in the UK they are endless, psychological thrillers seems to be one on every night and they are all quincy clones but always about murder.

Two decent programs have hit UK TV, Lovesoup and The Afterlife. Both are superb and don't follow the vein of the other rubbish.
