As a sequel to my immensely popular "Which is your favourite Bond film" poll, I decided to make a new series of polls, just two. This first one is for all Bond titles pre-Brosnan. With the exception of From Russia With Love and Goldfinger (which were created by Robert Brownjohn), the titles for all Bond films up to and including License to Kill were created by Maurice Binder, who also created the infamous gunbarrel shot.

Now, I know why many people like the Bond titles, but I want something more objective than just ogling. Technical achievement, relevance to the Bond film that follows, meshing with the title music, and so on.

So, without further ado...

The options:

*Dr No: Gunbarrels, coloured dots, and dancing outlines.

*From Russia With Love: Bellydancer (Robert Brownjohn)

*Goldfinger: Golden Girl (Robert Brownjohn)

*Thunderball: Underwater Colours

*You Only Live Twice: Japanese Volcanoes and Girls

*On Her Majesty's Secret Service: Time Is Running Out...

*Diamonds Are Forever: Diamonds Sparkling

*Live and Let Die: Voodoo

*The Man With The Golden Gun: Golden Guns and Asian Waters

*The Spy Who Loved Me: Britain and Russia

*Moonraker: Fly Me To The Moon

*For Your Eyes Only: Water and Sheena Easton

*Octopussy: Ladies and Arms

*A View To A Kill: Flames and Lasers

*The Living Daylights: Girls and Champagne

*License to Kill: Cameras and Gambling

Well?

I'll post a poll for Dan Kleinman's titles later.

IMO : DN , FRWL & OHMSS ;)

For a long while I thought the clock in OHMSS was a metaphor for a new decade dawning (movie came out in '69)
