I watch BSG.

Unfortunatley, in Aus, we finished Season 1 a few months ago, and probably won't get Season 2 for more months to come.

So I download the episodes :P

Interestingly enough, one of my friends, who’s the least Aspergerish person I know, is completely into Battlestar Galactica.

You're talking about the 70s version yes? Seeing as I have no idea who Dirk Benedict is...

Yes, Dirk Benedict was in the 70s version. I didn't care for the 70s version, and that surprised many people because everyone knew I loved sci fi. I didn't love Battlestar Gallactica.

The new version is much different! Although it's the same premise, it is an entirely different kind of show. I'm intrigued!

I remember the 70's version pretty well. When I was 11 and 12 it was cool. When I watched it in Reruns it was pretty bad. I really like what the producers did to the story for the new show.

I watch the new show regularly and whenever I see the old show on Ill watch it even though it is sooooooooooo cheezy. The problem with the new show is that I really cant understand what the cyborg cylons (and therefore probably all the cylongs) are trying to do.

I liked the 70's shows and still do more that the new one. Though new one is more gritty and more in reality. I don't like Starbuck being a women in the new series they should have made him a man too. But that is the modern age for sure.

But that brings up the question why isnt the one black officer from the orginal one still black.

I personally Like colonel Tigh on the 70's shows. They should have made him black also like the 70's show too. I would have made it more like the 70's show, they I like have gone in little bit off from the 70's a little to much. The remake of BSG is good it gritty and maybe has more reality in it, though the 70's show maybe a little dated for us in the 21st century.

I like the new version. I liked how they made the Cylons into human creations who rebelled and these machines are getting religious. Yet at the same time, they want to punish their human creators for "religious" reasons.

I also like how they tie Greek mythology into it which might explain that either
(1) the 12 colonies originated from Earth at the time of the ancient Greeks, or
(2) they all originated in Kobol and the 13th colony went to Earth
