On this tv show I heard a disturbing statistic. It was that a couple who have children who have autism have a 30% chance of divorcing.

Why is this? Is it caused by economic factors, or because it's socially acceptable for one of the parents to walk away from the marriage?

Isn't that probably around the normal rate anyway?
That aside I guess it's harder having an Autistic child, our boy is Autistic so it's a little restricting in some things we do, but sheesh having kids is hard work anyway!

I thought the normal rate was 50%. Hey! Having a child with autism improves your marriage! :D
