Has anyone else seen "Harold and Maude" and thought about a connection between the characters and AS? Even though this movie was made long before AS was well known (1971), and certainly long before I'd ever heard of AS, I find that I identify rather well with Harold's character. I haven't tried to fake my own death and I'm not from a rich family like Harold, but the similarities to his behavioral/personality traits is fascinating.

I love Harold and Maude!
Bud Cort plays a very AS-ish character in Brewster McCloud also.
In that movie, he is obsessed with being able to fly like a bird.

Yep... Harold and Maude is a great movie and I guess it does have a lot of AS traits.

I like the movie. He didn't strike me as anywhere near the spectrum though.

One of my favorites, but definitely more idealistic than realistic.
