Seriously, regardless of the actual film, the title is hilarious.

I saw the trailer for it right before the trailer for "007: Quantum of Solace," which is an even WORSE title--and all this was in front of "Hancock," the original title of which was "Tonight, He Comes." (Seriously, Tonight Hand-Cock Comes.)

Is it that hard to come up with decent titles these days? XD

in an age where the world's best-selling video game console is named "The Wii" i'd say so.

I'm going to see it in 2 and a half hours and refuse to read the reviews. (Don't want to ruin it for myself)Even if I'm dissappointed it can't be worse than "The Happening" so I'm sure I'll be happy. Its the X-Files. I'll be fine. I actually can't wait and am all exicited and looking forward to it. :D

The story is heavily grounded on earth. It ends on a positive note as I suspect fans wanted to see. Step back and think about the film from that perspective.

But it didn't feel like an X File, and I'm not a shipper so I could care less about that stuff. I did not want a blockbuster by any means. The supporting characters were quite thin, and ultimately wasted. I know it was about Mulder and Scully, and that they were really front and centre rather than the story. I don't have a problem with character pieces, heck we had plentic of M/S centric episodes, but there simply wasn't enough for me in terms of a decent plot as a backdrop. It simply wasn't scary which is what we were promised and not TXF's finest hour. I was with this show from the pilot one to the end.

Is it a good X File? No
Is it a good film? Not particularly.
Is it an achievement that they made it considering it was stuck in development hell forever? Well, yes.

Maybe it was the timing.

It has been six years since the series ended, so I guess most of the people who were fans of the show moved on.

I also read that the release date (the second week of release of 'The Dark Knight') possibly killed sales too.

Yep, one of the stupidest marketing decisions I've ever seen for a film.
