Who is your favourite? Personally, I have a weakness for Doctor Blight from Captain Planet and Emma Frost, the infamous former mentor of the teenage evil mutants the Hellions from the X-men comics.

There should be more female villains. The stereotypical way of presenting evil women from movies, novels and cartoons as glamorous sex demons is a source of irritation to me though.

It's either the glamourized sex-demon or the putrid wart-covered hag. Take your pick.

Catwoman, as portrayed by Julie Newmar in the Batman series of the 1960's.

The step mother in Everafter. That character really just did everything for herself, was mean because she felt like it, loved one child, but was abusive to the other two. She crossed my mind a number of times. She's wasn't a sex demon or a hag, but rather a selfish bully. :)

And often, it's both at the same time (ex: witches disguised as beautiful maidens.)

Servalan, from Blake's 7 - glamorous & totally ruthless.

My favorite female villains: The Rani and Lady Peinforte from Doctor Who, Harley Quinn from Batman, and Queen Mab from Merlin.

The uber-boss played by Meryl Streep in "the Devil Wears Prada".

The missile-shooting role played by Carrie Fisher in "The Blues Brothers".

Queen Bavmorda in "Willow" ( "bave mord/t" actually means "spits/dribbles death" in french! :) )

The White Witch in the book version of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".

The sorceress in "Spirited Away"/"Chihiro"

Morgan le Fay

The alien "queen" in "Aliens"

Billy Whitehead as the nanny in "The Omen".

Rebecca

The Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz"

Macbeth's wife

Medea

Medusa

Does Scarlett O'Hara ( Gone With the Wind) count?
.

Hey silentbob15, your avatar just reminded me of another great female villain... Dr. Langstrom. "Tvinkle, tvinkle, little eye... now it's time for you to die!!"
