Anybody see the trailer? It looks freakin' awesome! Gambit, Emma Frost, Alpha Flight... They even have some bits from the Origin mini-series. =]

The movie looks better than the other X-Men movies.

Yeah. I liked the first two. They weren't outstanding, at least in hindsight. But they did help set the stage for better comicbook movies in the future (The Dark Knight) and show people that there were great characters and stories out there waiting to be picked up. The third one was good, but it was pretty much just a balls-out powers vs. powers fight movie.
This, especially the bits from Origins (the mini-series), looks like it will go into much more depth, story-wise, than any of the previous films.
Did anybody else see that story awhile back about Hugh Jackman personally thanking the creator of Wolverine for giving him a career? Very classy.

It looks awesome to me, though I'm prepared to hear the comic book nerds bitching about minuscule details. Again.

I'm a huge comic book nerd, but I don't b***h about minuscule details. As long as the overall themes and ideas that make the reference material what it is are present, the details are incidental. But I think that is true any time you are converting something from one artistic medium to another.
I think in comic-to-move adaptations especially, you have to take into account that when people read comic books, they are more generous, shall we say, with their suspension of disbelief than they are with a movie. So what may work fine in a comic just won't work in a movie, and I personally understand that and try not to complain too much, as long as it's a good movie.
There has been a lot of complaining about some things in the Watchmen movie, but I for one think the few changes that were made were necessary (Sorry folks, the squid just wouldn't work).
I'm sure there will be some major departures from the Origins comic in this movie, but even the brief glimpses of it in the trailer seem to capture the emotion and trauma that made that such a great book. One thing I hope they do keep is the initial misdirection that was going on in the Origins book regarding which character would turn out to be Wolverine.

AWESOME!

I've always been a huge fan of Gambit, though Is he a good or bad guy in this?

they still need to make X-men four, seeing as how at the end, after the credits, Xavier sort of appears.

I'm intrigued, but the Magneto movie should be made next!

Apparently they're going to have Deadpool in this film. And he's played by Ryan Reynolds and not Woody Harrelson as everyone thought. I really hope they do a good job with him in this and keep with having his whole "breaking of the fourth wall" routine that made the character unique (for those of you who don't know what i'm referring to, Deadpool is the only Marvel Comics character who is aware that he is indeed a comic book character and will reference things like the issue number he last saw another character or references the thought boxes he thinks in, among other things)
