Rocky Horror Picture Show is a classic cult film. I like it alot. Same with Repo! The Genetic Opera.

I'm not quite sure if Tim Burton's films qualify as cult or mainstream, but like any aspie with a special interest, I can't reiterate my love for them enough. :)

My particular favorites:

"Brand Upon the Brain" (or anything else by Guy Maddin)
"The American Astronaut"
"The Forbidden Zone" (This film has something to offend everyone)

I've actually been meaning to see that, since I loved Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Caribbean and I know he plays Legolas. Not to mention that I once attempted to read the book version of LoTR. It was really good, but I didn't have the patience for it so I gave up. It certainly didn't help that my brother teased me relentlessly about it: "You're reading a fantasy book with elves and wizards in it? Come on! "

-Forbidden Planet- almost became a cult classic.

-Casablanca- is a cult classic among people of a certain age. For you kids who have no concept of World War Two, it probably wont register with you.

I like Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. I got it on DVD ages ago and it didn't disappoint. :D

Let's see...The Warriors (1979) is probably one of my favourite cult films.

Oh? I always thought that this described such things as Blood Feast and The Amazing Transplant and Double Agent 73 and Blood Orgy of the She-Devils or She-Devils on Wheels for that matter.

One of my favorites is Donnie Darko. It's cool how Donnie begins as a character easy to relate to, especially for a teen with a mental difference, but later in the story he becomes a total psycho. A lot of people haven't heard of this movie, although it's not totally unknown, I think it's still considered a cult movie.
