Any BSG/Cap fans? This universe is so... fully realized.

I'm a fan of the show, though wasn't pleased with the final season, and was displeased with the ending of the BG series. The Capirca "movie" was interesting, and I'm looking forward to the series when it starts.

I did not enjoy the first part of season 4, but the second half was fantastic.... until the last hour of the show. But it's still an amazing series, to be sure.

And I'm intrigued by the questions Caprica will almost certainly raise.

I do think the writers could have done a better job of explaining just why everyone was so willing to go along with Lee's whole "back to nature" thing at the end of the last episode - I can think of a few good reasons, but I'd like to know which ones, if any, actually occurred to the writing crew.

There is one interesting implication they kind of left alone, though; if Hera was "mitochondrial Eve" (that is, the most recent ancestor with whom we all share mitochondrial DNA), and mitochondrial DNA is inherited only from the mother, then since her mother was an Eight, that rather implies that we're all Cylons, does it not? :)

Haven't seen Caprica yet, but from what I've heard, I'm looking forward to it...

True, but consider New Caprica. Although the arrival of the Cylons did something to mess it up, I can't see what they built there as being all that great.

Some effort should have been made to elaborate. Frankly, from how it sounded, the fleet was so exhausted on supplies that it's not like technology was going to offer them any real comforts anymore.

I really enjoyed the show despite it's numerous flaws. You can tell the writers did not have the complete story in mind when they started like JMS did with Babylon 5 (the best sci fi show ever made). For 3 seasons, every episode started with an intro, "The Cylons were created by man . . . . . they rebelled . . . . . . there are many copies . . . . ." And it always ended with, "And they have a plan". I hope the TV movie, The Plan is decent because from watching the show, you can tell the writers didn't have a plan on what to do with the Cylons beyond the first season.

As my wife put it, "And they had a Plan. But that didn't work out, so they came up with another Plan at New Caprica. That wasn't so great either. Now they're just Winging It."
