Alright, so I've been watching TV, and I've remembered that on Boston Legal, Jerry is an aspie. And that struck me- are there any other aspies on TV and in cartoons?

My bf, who's an aspie, believes that Calvin, from Calvin and Hobbes, has Asperger's. Is there anyone else on TV with it? Real people, or their characters. Let me know

Here we go again...

I don't think most shows take Asperger's into account when they design a character (unless they specifically mention Asperger's syndrome.) In most cases, it's usually just "Let's make this character a quiet geeky type" or "Let's give this character a few strange quirks."

Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory, and Moss on The IT Crowd. But, especially Sheldon. He seems to have been modeled exactly from a classic description of AS.

Edd (aka Double Da Sockhead, Double D) (LOL) from Ed Edd N Eddy, no question. LOL

Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory.............or maybe ManDark is a better choice AH HA HA, AH HA HA HA HA LOL

Dib from Invader Zim

REN HOEK from The Ren & Stimpy Show. *TOTALLY*. His Psychodic Outbursts are SO ASPERGER'S SYNDROME!! !! !! !! !! !! !! Heck, that's how I got into the show in the first place. LOL

Frazz from The Brothers Club

Narato / Takkun from FLCL. His famous quote says it all (*nothing amazing happens here, everything is ordenary, it's like a lifetime dieing slowly and your can't get across to the other side of the world, etc.)

Booga from Tank Girl (The Movie version). *TOTALLY*****************
In the comics, Booga was kind of a party animal but in the movie, he was more of a submissive character who just wanted to talk about his New Age theories, BUT ONLY TO TANK GIRL!

Booga and Takkun are Lucky sons of Guns, Tank and Haruko are my two favorite Tomboys.

Now let me see if there are Muppets with Asperger's Syndrome.

TOTALLY,

Don Music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLPfXdtcwfM LOL

Couldn't resist, I'm a Tough Pig (that means I'm a hardcore Muppet / Jim Henson Fan).

How about Sailor Mercury from "Sailor Moon"? Extremely smart, and very introverted. Though she did have her moments when she was very social with her friends. :?

Yeah, the first time I read a description of AS I thought "SHELDON COOPER!" (I was obsessed by TBBT at that time so...). I believe he has OCD too. That's the only fictional character I know that is officially an aspie (well, I didn't watch all the episodes but I've read that on wiki so I guess it might be official !)

Lilo from Lilo & Stitch. she has no friends, she's obsessed with Elvis Presley, she and her sister/guardian constantly fight, and she's got an alien for a pet. she sounds like me!

Ross from Friends. Also, his sister Monica is almost definitely OCD, and this stuff is genetic, right? It all makes sense! Phoebe's far from normal, as well, but I think she's just weird.

Mercury does seem like one, but about the sociality, you're right. She also doesn't have an obsession, which I think is crucial of an Aspie.

I think Indiana Jones and his father are (especially if you watch the show). Indy is klutzy, amazing with language, introverted, weird way with women (it is weird, and tragic, if you read the novels), doesn't get some social society things (esp racism, sexism), etc.

I love Lilo and I agree with ttqks.
