Well there have been a few anime threads I think, but they sometimes fall good to have anothe one. My favirouts are Death Note, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Azumanga Daioh, Zero no Tsukaima, Hellsing (mostly OVAs but anime was good) and I think most of the tv shows that Kyoto Animation has done which I have all except for Air. There is also a few ecchi ones that I like, but I am not sure if I should list them, gets a bit embarasing when I my 7 year old brother descides to take a look at what I am watching at an especialy bad time in Rosario + Vampire. One I have been into lately has been Clannad, it is very funny, and makes great references to other anime that Kyoto animation has done, it has been great, but now the psychological element has come in, it almost as bad as the end of School Rumble with how the focus has changed so much from happy, and I will gladely say that I have cried during it.
This is one of my favirout scenes from Azumanga Daioh.

I've watched bits here and there (as well as some more mainstream stuff like Avatar, dunno if it counts) but only just this past year did I really get into a couple of shows, Fullmetal Alchemist and Inuyasha. I've been learning to draw in the style and it's coming along well, I found a great site about it.

Also, I've been wondering whether Miyazaki's films fall under that heading? I wouldn't think so but I'm not too clear on the definition.

Then stay away from R+V Capu 2. It's many times worse in that regard.
I personally preferred the Manga of R+V there was more story, and less sillyness.
But one good thing about R+V Capu 2 was they animated the Tsukune goes home chapter.
That was hillarious.

Are you kidding me? After the hundreds of Anime-related threads and Anime fans, I feel like I'm the only person on WP who ISN'T into Anime...

Not that I'm dissing Anime or anything, I was just never really interested in it. Many years ago, I watched Robotech for awhile, and it was OK, I guess.

I've enjoyed anime since I was a little girl. It became especially meaningful to me after I spent a couple of years being really passionate about it with my former best friend. That was the highlight of my childhood. Sigh, what I wouldn't give to relive those days... ;^;

...Anyway, back on topic! ^_^ My top favorite anime shows for the past 2 years have been Hellsing and Trinity Blood. No matter what else I watch, those are always my favorites.

I also occasionally enjoy other vampire-centric anime such as Black Blood Brothers, Moon Phase, Vampire Knight and Rosario + Vampire.

Pretty much the only non-vampire thing I like is Hetalia Axis Powers. Countries personified as bishonen? Count me in!
