I think trying to evaluate the scientific merit of an animated show in which no one ages is pretty ambitious.

I still think the Simpsons has staying power. If it goes on for another season, it will be the longest fiction prime-time series ever. (it's currently tied with Gunsmoke for that title)

Example 1. Grampa Simpson. Though he seems out of it, it seems more like difficulty in processing his sensory information, as well as memory issues. This reeks more of some type of dimentia. Also his lucid moments has him with greater coginitive abiliities then his son. We alos know at least one of his stories actually is real. I dobt he would have made sargent being a complete idiot. STrike one for the simpson gene

Easy=
Take the number of shows-minus all of those that arnt actually part of the storyline-temporally all of those that took less then a day as well as those that took more then aday divid the number by 366. Add all of thoe partial days togeter to form complet days and add that to all the days that the multble day episode take. Dive that by 366. And combine that with the original divided number, and you youll see that this actaully can fit in a small amount of time

Example 2: Homer Simpson had a cryon lodged in his brain. When removed his intelligence rose to slightly above average. Thats not genetic
