Heck yes it is. I have a PSP and it rocks. has a good amount of games out there for it too. I recomend the following:

Untold Legends
syphon filter Dark mirror
Metal Gear solid portable ops
Monster hunter
Blade dancer
Infected

trust me dude this handheld system rocks.

It can't do anything a PS2 can't do, and the battery life is s**t. All the games are watered down ports of old PS2 games.

I would recommend a Nintendo DS instead. It has FF III and many better games, and the battery life is better and has touch screen controls. 8)

Games are great and I know that will be a big part of it, but I'm considering the PSP mainly because of its mp3, photo, video, and internet capabilities too. also, you might say my interest in mp3 and games are equally the highest, with internet capabilities following not far behind.
