1. Great Hotels (on the Discovery Travel Channel)
(This extremely perky lady goes around the US giving tours of hotels. I just love the hostess--Samantha Brown--because she is so happy, perky, and loves what she does.)
2. Boy Meets World (but I like the later episodes--when they're all in college--much better.)
3. Welcome Back, Kotter
4. LaVerne & Shirley
5. Hawaii 5-0
6. Most things on the Travel Channel (except Get Packing--I hate that show and World Poker Tour--boring as hell)
7. The History Channel (except Modern Marvels 'cause it's boring)
8. Animal Planet
9. The Disney Channel between CST 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.)

Don't have cable. The only thing our TV is used for is PS2 and dvds! I prefer to read. I should be earning frequent flyer miles through our library.

Series that has been on the air (strange thing to say...) here in Sweden that I like is:
Buffy the vampire slayer
Wire in the blood (somewhat pervers but I like it)
Crossing Jordan
24
Twin Peaks
(these are just my favourites, I watch to many shows to mention)

Series I have downloaded that I like:
Angel the series
Tru Calling
The O.C

Edit because: How could I forget. I watch Airport religiosly. I love that show

1. Monk ( I love Tony Shaloub's portrayal of a detective that overcomes his phobias and gains respect for his unique qualities).

2. Star Trek Next Generation (reruns again, and again, and again, I can relate to Data and his views.)

3. History Detectives. (a PBS series where they uncover/research items, places and events of the past - whether they are truth or fiction.)

4. Antiques Roadshow. ( I love those antiques & history behind them.)

5. SpongeBob SquarePants (no reason, it just makes me laugh)

I'm sure I'm leaving something out but I'm pretty sure these would be my top five.

I have had quite a few over the years, but currently I stick to a pair:

Stargate SG-1
Dead Like Me (aka my new obsession)

And we'll see what else crops up as the new fall season starts.

I'm also intent on watching the Gymnastics, female artistic, in the Olympics. Always had a soft spot for that kind of dazzling kinetic ability.

Extreme Home Makover
NCIS
CSI... I like the Las Vegas and Miami... New York is OK but I don't like it as much

My son's obsession is Raven on Disney Channel and I don't mind watching that if I have nothing to watch.

I also enjoy Mystery Diagnosis on Discovery Health

Don't really make it a point to watch anything regularly....but the Simpsons and Family Guy are at the top of my list.

Canceled my Dish network this past summer.....tired of paying $40 a month for 500 channels of nothing. Don't really miss it. TV is just another distraction. Discovery, TLC and such used to be halfway OK, but now they just broadcast more sensational crap tp appeal to the masses.

I'm already the weird guy on the street.....I could only imagine what my neighbors were thinking when I was on the roof putting up a huge TV antenna. I know I'm the only one on the street with only broadcast TV.....probably the only one in the neighborhood.

I heard that St. Louis' local cable company is thinking of letting subscribers choose certain channels and just pay for them. But some news story said that it might end up costing more than just getting ALL the channels, including the ones nobody watches.

I had that idea awhile ago, just select certain channels and pay for those. Though I didn't have the idea of it costing more. Actually, costing less was the whole point of it.

That's the problem when one company has a mononpoly on an entire area. In our case, it's Charter Cable.
