My question is this. Why do we claim technology and the media are great when watchin somthing we like, but when hearin about stabbin, gun crime, the 6th time rihanna is played in 1 minute and paris hilton (still dont know why shes famous), we think T.V. is terrible? Parents claim "oh, the tech in the new xbox is amazin! i bet there's good image on that!" then they see us playin games like manhunt, and they say "this console should be banned" and ultimately change your life? people used to think you were lucky if you had a DVD, or saw a music video, but now if you dont have a DVD or saw the music video, you're missin out? Why is it, that the news talks more of murder, rape, burglary, gun killin, wars and bloodshed more then they talk about nice cheerful things? Why is it all new games have had at least one attempt at being Banned? I've been ranting, i give my thanks for your time.

why not look at games like Sonic and Mario? Sorry to disprove you, but not all games have an attempt to banned. We may as well ban a hammer the momnet one person uses it as a weapon

Games are just like anything else. The studios release TONS of violent bloody action movies every year, no one bats an eye at them. The instant a new GTA title is out? Its the end of the world. The violent movies are not meant for young children, the GTA games are not meant for young children.

You act as though violent media is anything new. As long as there's been media, there's been media violence. Heck, in plays in ancient times they'd get condemned criminals as characters who would die, and kill them on stage.

My point is, its not the same. They used to welcome titles like GTA, they would even endorse them. Now some nutty prick has to try and get rid of them. Certain types of music are even frowned upon and fought against.
