I love Sweeny Todd!! The first time I watched it I was surprised that the crazy lady was Sweeny Todds wife, it was sad:( I am absolutely in love with Alan Rickman  , so I loved the Judge, I know Im terrible. Tim Burton is awesome! I thought it was funny when all the people were eating the "meat" pies, hehehe

As much as I love Tim Burton films I honestly thought I was going to vomit watching this one. I think what bothered me was that there seemed to be no logic after the first few revenge killings- that the people were being killed just for food. Good acting though.

Lovelovelove.
Saw it twice in the cinema (underage :P) bought on bluray on day of release. Seen 3 more times.
OK the bluray made me feel a bit ill cos the blood seemed more lifelike, more red but I still love it.
Great acting (from adults) some good music and singing though some lyrics frustrated me cos it seemed to be on-the-spot stuff like 'the mountains of Peru' I mean where did that come from in a song about London other than to fill the gaps?
One of Burton's best, I myself wasn't too impressed with Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride or Little Fish, though I liked Charlie and Batman and really enjoyed Edward Scissorhands. That and Sweeney are his best in my opinion.

i absolutely LOVE the part where the guy gets bludgened to death with the teapot, classic

1) Aaah I'm worried :P
2) *spoiler* He didn't kill him with teapot, just knocked him out. He then slit his throat graphically which actually killed him. But he deserved it :P

You know, I still haven't seen the movie version yet, but Sweeney Todd has been one of the few musicals which I actually liked. It's pure genius.

"There's a hole in the world like a great black pit, and it's filled with people who are filled with s**t, and the vermin of the Earth inhabit it... but not for long..."
