It looks tacky on the commercials and a lot of people don't like reality shows, but I think this show is really funny. I expected it to be really stupid, but it's actually pretty good. I also think the "geeky" guys on the show are kinda cute, while not all the girls are attractive. It's pretty interesting to see "geeks" learn fashion while the "beauty queens" have to learn rocket science and stuff...

I'm not sure who won. They've been showing it every day this week, so I've been watching it. I've never seen it before. Pretty soon they'll be showing Beauty and the Geek 2. Richard does seem very aspie-ish though. I actually think he's got the most character out of them all though.

I kinda like it, too. I think it's funny and not horribly offensive (the girls on the first episode, the only one I watched, were actaully niceish despite being ditsy, which was a surprise). I'd watch it again.

Right. Richard's the one I pegged for Aspie; and he and Mindy won.

I find myself wondering how many of the girls are simply uneducated, rather than truly airheaded?

Someone said I looked like someone on the show and acted like one.

I better post a pic and you'll judge! But I gotta take a better pic. I have a prom pic, and one when I had a schweet 'pube-looking stash. :P

But the photo is still bad.

Hmm, this should be interesting. I disliked a lot of reality shows save for Queer Eye, which turned out terrible later on. It'll be something I'll watch as long as my mom isn't around..... :)

I usually don't watch reality shows but for some reason I had on WB and Beauty and the Geek reruns for the last two shows of first season were on and-- OH YEAH-- Richard is completely an Aspie. Even Chuck thought so (in the second to last show he hinted about Richard possibly having some kind of "social disorder" but he never named it. Gee, I wonder which one he meant?...)

But Richard played the piano beautifully. Chuck was in Med School to become a neurologist. Chuck and Catalin (sp?) won by one question.

But it looks like Richard might be a judge or something for Beauty and the Geek 2. Richard was the only reason I didn't turn off the television and watched both final episodes. The rest of it was pretty meh.

Oh wow. The last post in that thread was from June 3rd. I didn't even realize the first season was that old...and I didn't join Wrong Planet until June 22nd.

Yeah, Richard is my favorite geek, and last night there was an episode about him and Lauren picking the new beauties and geeks. Richard definitely seems aspie, which is why I think he's so cool I guess. I'm probably going to watch the first episode of Beauty and the Geek 2 tonight. I just find it interesting. I think they should reverse genders and pair geeky girls with hot guys though, just to see how that would go.

Right. And after that, amker an Average Jane show. And after that, hell will get a massive cold front, well below freezing.

If you're a chick and you want to be on TV, you either have to look really good or plan to look good by thr end of the show. :?
