Who wants a new Star Trek Animated Series?

One of my past-times is watching cartoons. I'm 20, and unashamed of the fact that I watch Cartoon Network and (more often) Nicktoons. I could sit and list all the shows that I watch and keep up with, but that would take quite a long while.

I really want to see a new Star Trek animated series that features the original characters. It's been on my mind for about a month now. Maybe if enough people around here display interest in the idea, we could start a petition or something.

I could see it realistically happening, given that the new film has been a box office and critical success with a sequel already planned. Interest has been resparked in the original series, and often in cases like this, we see series aimed at a younger demographic pop up.

Not sure if you knew about that one, made in the 1970's shortly after the original series was cancelled. It's available on DVD. I might even buy a copy off Amazon.

I already know about that one. That's why I said "new" animated series.

I think it would be best in CG animation, in similar likeness to Iron Man: Armored Adventures.
