Hello, new self-diagnosed Aspie

Hey all. I found out I have AS about a week and a half ago when some friends gave me a book after discussing my rather out-of-place behavior for a few months. I read over the book, "Solutions for Adults with Asperger Syndrome" by Juanita Hewitt, Ph. D, and I'm not sure I found a detail I couldn't relate to. I'm going to talk to a doctor on Sunday and see where that goes, though so far everyone I've talked to, I've gone over the materials with them and they're not surprised. One friend of mine read my book twice and she said, "Yeah, now I completely understand you!" Looked up several other sources too.

So yeah, I'm here. I'm just kind of hoping that I can find some kind of circle I could run to where hopefully I can make chit-chat easily. I'm a guitarist, that's my particular obsession, besides music in general. I'm a bit partial lately towards classical. Perhaps I'll learn a thing or two here. Looking forward to it!

Welcome to WP. I know what you mean. When I joined not too long ago I was amazed to find so many of us in one place! And they have turned out to be far more wonderful than I could ever have imagined.
