Just found this place.
Im usually very embarrased about talking about this, and i pretend that i have no condition at all, luckily being only a mild asperger i can get away with this. I think though its about time i stop hiding it away and discuss it, thats why ive signed up here! 
Was diagnosed at a very young age, im very lucky that many major things such as crowds, routines and obsessions dont affect me too much, im quite mild asperger, but my social skills are well, lets just say pretty rubbish haha, ive been lucky to get myself in with some very understamding friends, but even they dont yet know i am asperger, they just think im a bit off the wall.
Luckily aspergers syndrome has left me with some benefits, such as an above average IQ, and a great memory, but sometimes not even these make up for the embarrasment it cuases me sometimes.
Another great thing seems to be that if i really like something, like a hobby and i take it up, i nearly always end up getting quite far in it, for example i decided to take up bass guitar earlier this year, and ive already been asked to join a band!

I can relate to that, although I wasn't diagnosed until my 22nd year. I don't tell anyone else about my condition, and I doubt most people would ever guess. Welcome to Wrong Planet, jshaw.
