It is all a little overwhelming these days. What brought me here is that my rock in life is not so happy with me these days and I am for the first time in my life trying to deal with all the baggage from the past, survive my present and sail into the future. FOr more information on my past, look at my profile.

I was diagnosed after my first session on 12/31 with only a minor reservation about some of the violence in my youth. Looking forward to the next session tomorrow.

Anyway, here I am and I could really use some friends to talk and chat with.

Just reading through this great board has lifted my spirits quite a bit.

Hey man, welcome to WP. SO you were just recently DX'ed? I myself have been DX'ed at the age of 4 with HFA, tho this was in 1987, a few years prior to aspringers being accepted as a real DX, so I always beleived I was DX'ed with the wrong thing. I am sorry your life has been tough, I think many people on here have had some real tough parts of their lives, mine has been relativly good I will admit, but it is always important to deal with the issues of the past and present, otherwise how can one work towards a good future. I hope everything works out and life for you gets back on track, you can make your significant other happy because that is very important also and that you stick around WP because just being here with others on the spectrum can in itself be theripy.

DX'ed with HFA as a child. However this was in 1987 and I am certain had I been DX'ed a few years later I would have been DX'ed with AS instead.
