It's like I always have to babysit 'her'. that I am taking care of the slow sister inside my head and body. watching out for her, taking care of her making sure she gets to the dentist and stays warm and dry and out of the weather on a regular basis while she lollygags around amusing her self in shiny joy.

Hey Lemon - nice to see you around.

Those darned people always get in the way. Strangely, if it's something that I'm good at and interests me, I can teach people about it. Somehow I guess my enthusiasm overrides my social ineptness.

I reckon go for it and immerse yourself in your passion for art & fashion when you teach them. Just an idea but it would be awesome to work in something you love. We have every confidence in you :D

Second that! Go Lemon!

You will do great. You won't think so, but you will. I question my job performance every day, but I really am pretty good at what I do. Quirky, but good.

And after your avatar caught my eye, I went looking for a video for the song "Captain Jack" on YouTube. Didn't find one, but I did find this...

I met the other Aspies tonight. What a TRIP! ( meaning it was fun, it was filling, we all saw the Eclipse of the Moon in KWANS parking lot ( Mrs Kwan and I met and she talked about eclipses in Macao and me in Kansas. . and my Kansas was just as exotic and foreign to her as Macao was to me!)

I met JonK and OregonBecky and they were Nick and Nora Charles* ( they had Asta and Asta's friend in their vehicle ) Meeting them must be like meeting ME! as I was pretty whelmed with them chatting away to me like we had known each other for YEARS, and ol' cold as ice and formal me. . . was utterly charmed!

More later, right now I am just worn down to a little nub! Oh, and Lau! you have GOT to communicate with JonK. . he is a mathematician that 'sees' the process unfold!

Nick and Nora Charles, or Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Charles (which is short for his family's original Greek name "Charalambides"), are the characters created by Dashiell Hammett in his novel The Thin Man. Nick is a retired private detective and Nora a wealthy society woman whose snobbish family thinks she has married beneath herself; Hammett modeled her on his lover Lillian Hellman. Their banter provides comic relief of the type that would later be seen between John Steed and Emma Peel in The Avengers.

Yes! We met our long lost sister or sister-in-law - can't figure out which one of us is related her!! Someone stole us both from our real parents who were really cool and dropped us off with other parents on the wrong planet, as well but we found each other because of unstoppable cosmic forces!

And Merle is even more beautiful in person! She's Emma Peel's double! And really tall like Emma Peel and can beat the crap out lf the bad guys like Emma Peel. Well, she didn't NEED to beat the crap out of anyone when we were together but I felt very safe because I just sensed that she could do it if she needed to.

Aside from my fantastic ravings, Merle knows about EVERYTHING! Whenever we brought up a subject, she could add to it. She even agrees that raisins can be very cruel.

That's the tough part. I have stumbled into a job where my quirks are accepted, and I get paid decently for something I love doing, but it was by accident.

Anyway, I think if you take that job you will do well at it.

Lurking as stimming topic

The little dragon looks cute. I like jumping too. One of my childhood stims. Pure freedom :bounce:  Thanks for the memory.

Thanks for the information, Oregon Becky. Like Emma Peel? She's been misleading us! Though I know that a male walked into a lamp post because he was staring so hard at her! ..err in her younger days!

Come and sit here, Oregan Becky, and tell me more. Have some pavlova (aussie dish).
