It's 3 hours later and I've been for my walk. So now I can tell you the gossip that is all over our local front cover.

Gasp! Steve Irwin's father Bob, who started the Aussie Zoo as a snake and reptile park, has split from the zoo. He will not say why.

Terri Irwin has inherited everything, which is worth $(aus)26 million. The fear is that she is putting more effort into commercial rather than conservation ventures. The government and other groups have subsidised the Zoo for conservation projects.

I don't think the public has noticed yet that Steve is dead. The plea is: What would Steve do? Evidently the Zoo was in poor shape financially and she was the one who turned it around.

I bet it's incredibly expensive to run a zoo - especially one done right, with proper habitats for the animals, and good veterinarian care, and visiting hours that keep the best interest of the animals utmost, and not what's best monetarily. I wish the Aussie Zoo the best! I hope the matter is resolved in a way beneficial to all.

Terri is from Eugene about 65 miles from where I am now living. She grew up at the Wildlife Safari on the Oregon Coast Oregon Wildlife Safari She is a local hero, here. We loved Steve, but we knew Terri was awesome.

I think you should see about getting UbbyUbbyUbby some vitamins. His energy is frighteningly low.

His energy level is so incredibly low he might not be healthy

The marines were the first place I learned how to do that. Kept getting into trouble for laughing. But it was funny. Especially when they got in your face. You can't help but laugh when they do that.

you have pinpointed the charm of Gomer Pyle, right there, Chuckie, m'boy.
ol' Gome would laugh and laugh at Sgt. Carter and just be the best of friends.

I have "Friends" on CD and I enjoy Michael W. Smith. Thanks. I am wondering where it is I might be going, since that is the message in that song.

Mescalero, I've been wondering how you've been.

"Love Will Tear Us Apart" is on a much-loved, worn-out old mixtape of mine. Every now and then I get the tape out of hiding and relive some good times in the 80s, when it was given to me.
