Hi. I'm Jake. I'm nine years old and I really like space. I like computer games and to watch movies. I remember finding out I have Asperger's Syndrome in April, 2004. My mom told me.

I have 4 sisters:Erin, Tori, Rachel, and Maya.
I have 1 brother, Michael.

Hi Jake. I'm 17 and I discovered AS while doing a school report on Joan of Arc. I came across it by accident. It was kind of like an awakening for me because it explained everything that's gone wrong for me at school. I don't have a diagnosis, but I'm considering getting one. I also think I have hyperlexia. I have five younger siblings, Katie, Andrew, Ellen, Matthew and James, but only Andrew and Ellen live with me. I have a new puppy named Lora.

Glad to see you've found this site! And you've wasted no time in finding the formatting controls either

It's great that we've got people of all age groups here. We can all help each other through our lives and various transitions.

It sounds like your diagnosis is pretty recent. I think I found out I had Asperger's at around your age. I think it was a little relieving both to me and my parents, but its effects have caused some problems for me.

Don't forget, if you have any questions or problems or anything, most of us are more than willing to help.

Cool. I've got Sim City 3000, myself. The CD's scratched, though, so I can't play it. But I like 2000 better anyway, I guess mostly since I've mastered it.

It's probably not a good idea to put your address online like that. I mean, if someone was going to mail you something, it makes sense to give them your address. But generally not good to post it on the forums. If you'd like to fix that, there should be a little "edit" button at the top of your post.

Edit: Oh, I see Mom took that off, good.

It sounds as though you are a very clever young man. I don't know anything about computer gaming, but I'm sure you will meet many friends to talk to about them with on this website. Having Mom help you out is a great idea too!

Jake: Since you are interested in outer space, why don't you tell us about your favorite planet. I'd like to learn about it!

I remember I used to be really into outer space. In, like, second grade, we had to write and make these "books", that we'd draw illustrations for and the teachers would type up the words. I did a few just on outer space, and I even went to the school library to get facts to incorporate into it. Ahh...good times. My other big interest then was medical/biological stuff, but not so much any more.

Jake, have you heard about SpaceShipOne? Neat stuff.

I also like to watch movies also. I've also seen Jimmy Neutron, but it isn't my favorite movie. I have so many movies that I like but I can't choose one as my favorite.

I've played with sim city before even though I don't have it. It's a fun computer game.

I liked the colors you chose. It shows originality and they are cool.

Alex: My favorite planet (besides Earth) is Mars. Mars is 142,000,000 miles away from the sun. It is the farthest innner planet from the sun and it looks red from Earth.
Mars has two moons; they are called Phobos and Deimos.
