My name is Erin, I am HFA. I have two boys, one aspie, he is 7 and a very active. My other son is 6 and he has mod-severe high functioning autism. I recieved my Dx almost three years ago. It was like a huge weight was lifted off of me. It all made sense then, the obsessions I have, the problems with social stuff, my need for order and to never being taken off guard. When I was growing up I was DXed with speech problems, anxiety, social immaturity and obsessiveness. I am looking forward to being able to share and learn from other people who have simular traits and thinking as me.

Im new too, it's a big change- although every thing and event etc. is the same, the relevance and your understanding of your entire past and future and yourself changes. There's a big difference between knowing and feeling but everything starts falling into place (with time).

Hi Tennillian welcome to the "right" Planet :wink:

I am also a mother with 2 boys, I was only diagnosed myself last year and now my older son who is 14 has been diagnosed and feel my younger son has traits. But sites like this have really helped me to understand and embrace there differences...
