I'm new, and I thought I would take the time to introduce myself.

I'm an artist (and currently unemployed designer). I started doing some research on things after my best friends son was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome, and after reading as much of the descriptions and info I could get my hands on, it was like a light went on in my head.

I was a hyper-analytical kid who would melt down from too much stress (caused by too much exposure to people as a kid), and still have the problem with it today. A lot of the habits of Aspergers are things I have, and reading through a lot of it was like reading through a partial chronicle of my life.

At any rate, I've been a lurker here for a while now, and I finally got up the guts to jump into the conversation. So far, I'm glad I found this place...it's answered a lot of questions about myself for myself.
