I love to create things, and to try out new things in this regard.
I direct and edit and star in and make FX for our own little movies
I love history, especially the dark ages (no fantasy)
and to combine these two elements, I'm working on a medieval RPG game with some friends, and still exploring the abilities of 3DS MAX.

I also like learning other languages, especially ancient ones because to be able to say that I know those languages I only have to read it, not speak it:)

I also enjoy watching death note.

I am obsessed with medieval architecture. Have been ever since college. I love Gothic cathedrals because of the way every element is created with great artistry but also with function in mind. Conversely, I'm obsessed with early Gothic Revival because I'm amused by its naivete and complete lack of regard for function (though I can't actually be in these buildings without them starting to irk me).

I'm obsessed with music. I am a singer and I will go over my pieces many times trying to perfect them.

I'm obsessed with language. Friends call me a grammar nazi.

And strange though it sounds, I'm obsessed with my jewellery. I have a growing collection and like to keep it in order, and become very agitated when something is missing or has been moved.

*Antiques, especially toys, and the values and the histories of the companies that made them
*Reading about the counterfeit industry seems to be a big one lately
*Video games (esp. Dreamcast and Saturn) and the history of the industry, collecting and values

I just joined today.

I tend to obsess over things that no one I know cares about ... human evolution, osteology, brains, record collecting ... I'm a student and just finished up an bioanthro class, hence the human evolution obsession. I think I'm in love with Neanderthal!

Re: Squidy, I'm definitely interested in bioanthro as an offshoot of anthropometry and biomechanics. If I knew then what I know now, I'd probably be on a course similar to yours. My interest is applied, some theoretical (I try to avoid the latter lest I get lost and never come out again). I collect data sets of human measurements. My husband is perplexed that as a mathphobe, I love reading charts of numbers and extrapolating derivations from size to size. It makes me downright giddy. Today I'm pumped because I found a data set available from the Japanese Anthropometric Society and sent away for it. It's a small sampling (300) from 97-98 but considering the source, I imagine it to be very high quality and besides, it's a genetically heterogeneous society.
