Hello,

I am a very high functioning person who always knew he was just a little bit different. Not too much. But surely different. (42 year old.)
One day a few years ago, working in the health care environment (philanthropy, not medical) I started learning about ASD. Certain things jumped out. Sensitivity to sound and touch, etc. Rocking as a child. Drumming. Stimming. OCD. Low tolerance for others, etc... you name it.

Then one day I googled "high functioning autism" and found this site.
Thanks.

Now I know that there are people like me. I am both saddened and relieved. I always knew somehow that I was on the wrong planet.

Thanks just the same for being here. I hope that the positives of Aspergers are outweighing the negatives for each of you.
Good luck.

Great - another drummer! Now we just need to get a drum circle together and we'll drive everyone batty.... *grin* Glad you found someplace that resonates, and hope you stick around and get involved.

Welcome to the mother ship. We will now paint your face green and make you dance around the camp fire.
*Giggles*

Wow.
After forty two years it must be a bit strange to suddenly have a name for your differentness.
Hopefully though, the relief is better then the sadness.

:D And your not alone!
We can all sit around and discuss our stemming habbits with out feeling misunderstood or unwelcome.

You are now on the right planet.

:D

Note from management:

"lillie" is not affiliated with fundrazor.
I kind of feel spammed or something.

We now rejoin our thread already in progress.
