And yes, Pobol Y Cwm is utter tripe, so no objections to it being called that from here :P

Very much so, the island as well as the surrounding portions is stooped in historical footnotes and curiosity, one rumor is that Avalon is actually off the coast of anglesey (as well as most of Wales, but ah well)
