k dunno if its the same series thogh cos i think theres been a few sonic shows hasnt there.

just to clarify if were talkin about the same one, i remember them going back in time to try an stop roboto (or whatever hes called) from taking over in one episode, and i think the finale was about some sort of "doomsday project". and i think there was another episode were the entire thing was set in some sort of forest, and something brainwashed tails.

Assassin - You're thinking of "Sonic the Hedgehog" aka SatAM (because it was on Saturday mornings), that was around in the late 90's. The villain's name was Dr Ivo Robotnik, by the way.

BlackLiger - You're thinking of Sonic X, the first non-Western Sonic cartoon, much more recent. And where I got my avatar pic from.

There's been 4 Sonic shows and one movie. Personally, my favorite was AoStH (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which came before SatAM).

Edit: Actually, the back in time episode sounds like AoStH. But the Doomsday one is definitely SatAM. I imagine you've seen both, then. The style they're drawn in is identical, and Jaleel White does Sonic's voice in both. So it's easy to get the shows confused :P

I mite have, becos I remember watching some other Sonic cartoon on weekday mornings years before even the one I was talking about, but the back in time episode was definately from the same series as the doomsday and the brainwashing. I defintly prefered the later series (more serius) to the erlier weekdays series (much closer to the original megadrive game, if I remember rite - allthogh I only have very faint memories of the weekdays one)

Yes, the second series was much darker and more serious than AoStH (the first). It had more characters (Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Rotor, Dulcy etc) and a more defined setting (Knothole Village, Robotropolis, etc). AoStH was basically much more lighthearted and Sonic and Tails (plus Robotnik and his lackeys Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts) were the only constant characters. SatAM was darker and had a progressive plot. AoStH was pretty much stand-alone episodes. Still, I prefer AoStH because in SatAM Tails was relegated to 'little kid' status and never got to do anything. Oh dear, you really shouldn't have got me started... *sweatdrop*

Anyway, its clear now that it was SatAM that I was originally thinking of, becos I remember Antoine (well, the name anyway lol)

My username is from my obsession with movie projection. I have a working cinema in my garage called Odeon. Odeon, of course, has been, and is, the name of quite a few movie theatres.

My username is my real name. On other forums, I have used other names which sounded cool, but after a while I got bored or dissapointed at them. Therefore I picked my own name this time. :P

I'm named after a self aware spaceship in an old Poul Anderson novel.

The full name I use is "Vae Victus" which is Latin for "Woe to the Conquered." I usually go by Vae for short though.

"Callista" comes from "Callisto", which is a moon of Jupiter. It has an icy crust which might have an ocean beneath it, and lots of craters; and it's nearly the size of Mercury. I changed "Callisto" to "Callista" because the -a ending would more easily make it obvious that I was female.

Callisto is also the name of a nymph in Greek mythology. She was raped by Zeus and then turned into a bear; and she became Ursa Major, and her son Ursa Minor (the big and little dippers).

I like mythology. And astronomy. Can you tell?

I actually kinda took my name from my brother. He was using Blade for Starsiege: Tribes and playing duels. He was losing so I was like "let me give it a go" so anyways I ended up invited into a clan or whatever they called them and the name stuck. After one clan broke up we all added an X to the end of our name so we could easily find eachother in game, I just started adding it to all my forum names.
