I was just wondering if there are any Aspies out there who have managed to find their "other half". Like a boyfriend or girlfriend? Just wondering if it's actually possible (I'm single myself -- obviously).

Im currently single myself, thankfully, cos I need the breathing space for a while. Between the ages of 16 and 22, I was in a relationship, but with three different people! I'd leave one relationship and wouldnt have chance to get my head together before entering another one! Im now 23 and have been single for over a year and Im not really looking, never really have done, people seem to find me.

When you get used to them, relationships are fun, especially if you and that person connect, but they are also hard work, but then apparently thats the whole fun of them! Hope this helps, however I wouldnt encourage you to jump in and out of relationships like I have in the past. It isn't a good idea, and thats all Im going to say!

Yup, been together with my soul mate for 17 years now. Didn't meet her until I was 28 and had given up trying though ...

Yeah, I have. I met her when I was 27, and now, 14 years later, we're still together, with two kids, a house, and whatever other attributes that represent a long-term relationship. :)

It's possible, sure, but not necessarily easy.

Yes and no...
was married but was not happy, neither was he
he couldn't handle my aspie traits and I wasn't diagnosed at the time so didn't know that I was doing wrong...
would love to find that special someone and try again!
