hi... I was trying to figure out if I have Aspergers looking at the definition of Aspergers but I'm confused. Some things seem to fit and others... well, I'm not sure.
like, what is poor motor skills? I'm a nerd and never did much sports - does that count? I had no problem learning to drive. But I do have trouble catching things. Walking and running I'm normal.
or particular interest in something. I'm interested in computers, but I don't know the degree you have to be interested in.. I don't really find myself talking about it unless others ask.. I don't know a lot of details of things neither..
I also have problem reading body cues and feel uncomfortable with general chit chat, but did not have this problem before I came to North America..
People mention that I speak in monotone and don't show emotions too much.
Is this Aspergers? arg.. I'm confused and need help.. Can someone tell me how to tell for sure if I have Aspergers?
Thanks for the reply in advance.

Its not a "everything or nothing" syndrome. People vary in the degrees that they show traits.

For as near sure as you can get, you'd need a diagnosis by a professional with experience in assessing AS in adults. This would include a careful review of your childhood, because development signs are important in differentiating between AS and other possible conditions.

Before going that way, which might be expensive apart from anything else, you may want to increase you confidence that that would be a good move.

You've listed some of the clues you've picked up.
Reading here you may also pick up more clues if you find the way people post about their thoughts and feelings resonates with you.

There are also some on-line tests or questionaires, such as:

which again might be suggestive.
There isn't a simple test score that confirms or disproves the condition.

If you're an adult then you should get a professional to diagnose you. If you're functioning fine and are pretty happy then you might as well not bother though. Just don't end up like these people here, wallowing in pity about how sad they are, and how no one understands them, and they don't understand anyone, and it's not their fault because they got a diagnosis.

For the wrong person, being diagnosed is possibly bad. It lets them ignore any personal accountability for their own miserable lives.
