I found this forum a couple weeks ago and have visited several times daily since then. I guess I got so wrapped up in the good threads on the parent's portion of this site that I neglected to formally introduce myself.
My name is Emily. I was born and raised in Wisconsin but currently living in Mississippi. I'm 35 years old and the mother of an almost 3-year-old son named Lucas. He is probably HFA, although we've never had him tested. He is smart (knows his ABCs, counts to 20, understands us, starting to talk) but he's got his developmental delays that make life difficult for us right now.
I realized Lucas was different when he was 17 months old. It took my husband a little longer to catch on. Now Lucas is in speech and occupational therapy and doing pretty well, although his temper tantrums are worse than ever. My husband and I are both NT (for the most part!)
I'm here at Wrong Planet to meet and share with people who understand. I love this site and am thankful to have found it!
