just wanted to say hi....i'm new

hello, i wanted to introduce myself, i'm 33 and a mom of 4 kids. my second child, who is nearly 14, was diagnosed with asperger's in the third grade. he is very special to me and i wanted to help him as much as i can, and as i read through a lot of the discussions here, i'm hoping to learn from everyone and contribute as well if i can. so much of what i see people talking about here, i know he has a hard time with, especially making friends and social skills, and in that way he's very much like me, i'm just hoping to educate myself and be able to work with him so he doesn't have to struggle quite as much as i did growing up. finding others who can relate is a blessing

I just joined myself. Your child at least has the advantage of being diagnosed at an early age. I did't know that I had Aspeger's until I was 49. Best of Luck, Jack.
